Musical Performance, Video Editing

Come Healing by Leonard Cohen

After our first High Holy Day season in 2020 with a mostly empty sanctuary, I recorded this beautiful song by Leonard Cohen to share as a blessing and wish for all of our healing at that time.

Musical Performance, Video Editing

Un'taneh Tokef by Cantor Hinda Eisen Labovitz

After my son Ronen died on Erev Rosh Ha-Shanah in 2019, I struggled mightily with Un'taneh Tokef. None of the settings I previously knew felt like they captured authentically how I was feeling about his death, about asking God "Who shall live and who shall die?" So I composed my own setting. It was subsequently arranged for choir by Dr. Joshua Jacobson, conductor of the Zamir Chorale of Boston.

Conducting, Choral Singing

Erev Shel Shoshanim by Joseph Hadar

For a concert in honor of our beloved childhood cantor and conductor, Cantor Joel Caplan, my cohort of alumni of HaZamir North Jersey got together to perform Erev Shel Shoshanim. I sing alto in the top-left corner and provide the conducting for the video, as well as video and audio editing.

Ensemble Singing & Solo

Arba'ah Achim

for "Israeli Popular Music by the Decades"

Produced for a class taught by Cantor David Lipp (Louisville, KY), edited by Ensembles Online.
I sing alto in the octet and a brief duet midway through the piece (1:29).

Full-Length Online Concert, Seaboard Region Cantors Assembly

I have hosted bi-annual concerts of colleagues in the Seaboard Region Cantors Assembly for concerts at my shul. In 2020, we quickly recorded all of the music and produced it as an online concert. I did all of the coordination and video editing for this concert. My own performances include narrations throughout the program with historical tidbits and context about the Jewish composers of the Brill Building, as well as solo performances of "Fools Rush In" (3:19), "You've Got a Friend" (13:40), "Ring Them Bells" (18:37), "Save the Last Dance" (38:07), and "Stand By Me" (47:12).
